Proficiency Certificate Level in General Medicine (Health Assistant)

The Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) in General Medicine (Health Assistant) at Model Medical Institution is a three-year academic program affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). The program is designed to prepare skilled and competent mid-level health professionals capable of providing quality healthcare services, especially in rural and community settings.

This course helps students develop strong clinical competency, practical healthcare skills, leadership qualities, and professional ethics required in the healthcare sector. Objectives of the Program

The General Medicine (HA) program aims to produce qualified and competent mid-level health workers with advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary to provide effective healthcare services throughout the country.

Admission Criteria

Applicants seeking admission must fulfill the following requirements:

  • SEE/SLC passed with compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science subjects, or TSLC in CMA
  • Must pass the entrance examination conducted by CTEVT

  • Duly filled Admission Form
  • Photocopies of Mark Sheets, Provisional Certificate, and Character Certificate of SLC/SEE or TSLC
  • Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate
  • Six copies of passport-size photographs

After successful completion of the course, graduates become eligible for registration with the Nepal Health Professional Council in Grade “B”. This registration allows graduates to work as mid-level healthcare professionals in government and non-government healthcare institutions.
